Cannabis - How to Guide

Have you wondered how to roll a spliff, how to grow auto flowering cannabis seeds or how to find a cannabis seeds store online well this is the place for you? I want to give you easy guides on how cannabis can change your life for the better and any questions you have about weed will all be answered here with me today.

If you the reader has any questions, topics or questions you want answering or for me to shed some more light on then please email me at [email protected].

I have found across my social media platforms that I manage that there is a lot more insight into cannabis and thousands of methods weed growers use. Nothing is simple anymore, there is always a way for more people to spend money and get hooked into having the best of everything for example, if you go into a chemist and you have cut your finger there is a huge number of products from all different companies however all you need is something to clean the wound and dress the wound. So, there is always going to back to basics and this is what this blog is about.

So, let’s get started on my first how to guide and that is how to roll a spliff.

Knowing how to roll the perfect joint is key to an incredible smoke, rolling a spliff can take some practice but in this guide, I will tell you how to achieve the best joint.

Before we get started with the instructions, here’s a list of what you’ll need:

• Your favourite strain of weed
• Rolling papers
• Crutch/filter
• Pen or similar object, to pack the joint
• Grinder
• Rolling tray

Once you have everything you need, you need to separate your weed people either use their fingers or you can use a grinder which will do the work for you. You will need to break your weed buds down but not so small as you won’t be able to smoke that.

Now to create your filter or tip which you can get a small piece of card either from the rolling paper packet tear that and use that or a small piece of card around 5.5 x 1.7cm.

There are so many rolling papers you can buy at the local shop the list is endless, any king size rolling paper will do the trick.

So, you will need to take out your rolling paper and hold it so the glue side is facing your feet and the fold is in your direct sight. Fold the paper gently in the opposite direction and roll it between your fingers gingerly until it retains the shape you need.

Place the cannabis in your paper with one hand, distributing it in such a way that there is less at the end where the filter is going to be. You want to end up with a cone-shaped joint later. Straight joints are easier to roll, so for your first attempts, this is fine too. Ultimately, a cone-shaped joint will offer a way smoother smoke.

The most important step is rolling the joint, you will need start rolling it slowly with your fingers left to right using a circular motion very gently with your fingers else you will tear the paper.

Once your joint is tucked under you will need to lick the joint to secure the joint together, then twist the end which you can light and it will start to burn your weed then viola! Your perfect smoke ready for you to get blazed.

My how to guide on growing auto flowering, feminised and regular cannabis seeds, growing weed seeds indoors and outdoors.

How to grow cannabis seeds outdoors?

  • You need to know where you are going to grow the cannabis plants as the temperature has a huge part to play in the growing cycle. Cannabis plants can’t grow in heat above 30 degrees and if the temperature drops below 12.7 degrees this will cause your cannabis plants to die. Strong winds and hurricanes will also ruin your grow so please be aware of where you are growing cannabis.

  • Choosing a space for your cannabis grow is the most important stage to know this is because you will need your plants to get the most sunlight during the day and when night time arises this will start the flowering stage, so try and pick a space where always has direct sunlight.

  • The soil is made up from 3 components, clay, sand and slit. Heavy clay soils drain very slowly and do not hold oxygen well so they will need to be maintained very well. Sandy soil is easy to work with and is very popular with beginners. Sandy soil drains well and warms quickly however it doesn’t hold nutrients well so take note of that. Silty soil is the best choice for any cannabis grower. It’s easy to work, warms quickly, holds moisture, has good drainage, and contains a lot of nutrients. It is my personal favourite out of the 3 but everyone likes what they like.

  • You will need fertiliser this is an essential! You can purchase these in grow shops as this blog is aimed at countries where growing cannabis is legal or you can buy it from garden centers, organic fertiliser is the best for your cannabis plants.

  • When you start growing your cannabis plants you need to water them and protect your grow. This will need doing by watching the temperature, keep in mind the conditions of the weather if it is windy this could ruin your cannabis plants, rain as this can damage your cannabis plants and the most annoying to any cannabis grower pests! Insects and creepy crawlers can be a nightmare, so check your cannabis plants regularly so you can take control before it gets too bad.

  1. Train your cannabis plants – You will need to top your cannabis plants which means pulling it down sideways to create new upward growth.
Once your cannabis plants do begin to flower you should then leave them to grow and no more topping. Prune your plants for no more than one week into flowering.

How to grow cannabis seeds indoors

Growing cannabis indoors is convenient and effective. It allows for a degree of intervention and control that is hard to reach outdoors. If you are looking for some strains to try out indoors at Discount Cannabis Seeds, we have some great favourites for you.

  • Find a room or space where you can grow cannabis. This can be a tent or a cupboard in any room but remember the less weed you are growing the less expensive it is for the equipment and upkeep of the marijuana seeds. As well your cannabis plants you are going to need room for lighting and other growing equipment so keep in mind the amount of space you will need.

  • You will need certain grow lights to enhance your cannabis seeds to beautiful weed buds. The type of lights which are required are HID lights which are from the cannabis industry and The two main types of HID lamp used for growing are: Metal halide (MH), which produce light that is blue-ish white and are generally used during vegetative growth and High pressure sodium (HPS), which produce light that is more on the red-orange end of the spectrum and are used during the flowering stage. You can also use Fluorescent Grow Lights, LED Grow Lights or Induction Grow Lights. Any of these will do the job to grow your cannabis seeds it just depends on the amount of weed you plan to grow.

  • Your cannabis plants will need air just like any normal plants that you would grow in your garden, you will need a stream of air flowing through the room you choose to grow your weed in and it is achieved by means of an exhaust fan placed near the top of the room to remove the warmer air and a filtered air inlet on the opposite side near the floor.

  • You will need soil to plant your cannabis seeds in, this can be any regular soil which you can get hold of. Pre fertilised soil is the best for cannabis growers who have just started as It requires no maintaining and will grow your cannabis plants from start to finish. Do not use soil that contains anything like miracle grow this will not work with cannabis plants.

  • Your cannabis plants will need feeding so my options available to you are, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium and these are needed to much very small amounts, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Copper.

  • You will obviously need to water your cannabis plants but be very careful not to overflow with water. Now onto the most important part, your cannabis seeds you are going to plant and are suitable for indoor growing.

How to cook with cannabis

I have a few blogs with some incredible recipes on cooking with cannabis which you can take a look at, but this one is my all-time favourite cannabis recipe.

Talking of brownies let's take a look a delicious recipe you can use to make your own cannabis brownies! Now nothing beats brownies and weed does it?

Your fully in charge of how much bud actually ends up in the brownies. This recipe calls for a full 1/8 ounce of cannabis, yet the process still works if you decide to use less so let's take a look how to make these.

Ingredients

  • 1/8 ounce finely ground cannabis trim
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces unsweetened, quality chocolate
  • 1 3/4 cups coconut sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 3 mint leaves, minced (optional)

Pro tip: If you’re not keen on the classic flavor and scent of weed, add finely minced mint leaves to the batter; it will offset the cannabis flavour.

Directions.

Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C). Spread cannabis evenly on a baking sheet. Bake 50 minutes (if using less cannabis, check oven after 35 to 40 minutes). Remove from oven and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add decarboxylated (oven-baked) cannabis and lower heat to a simmer. Cook for 45 minutes, then remove from heat.

Strain cannabutter through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a small glass measuring cup or bowl. Discard strained cannabis solids or save for cannabis tea.

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a baking pan with cooking spray.

Place chocolate in a large glass mixing bowl and melt in the microwave or over a saucepan of boiling water.

Add cannabutter to melted chocolate and mix until combined, then mix in coconut sugar, salt, and vanilla.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.

Mix in flour, and walnut and/or mint, if using.

Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool slightly, then cut into 16 pieces and enjoy!

Weed brownies are fun to make, delicious in the moment, and enjoyable for hours after. What’s not to love?

Just remember, people: A little goes a long way. Especially if you’re a newbie to the culinary cannabis scene, be sure to pace yourself! Take one and then go back a few hours later before starting your next or you could end up in a bad way.

How to boost your yield by using the lollipopping technique

There are a number of techniques which cannabis growers use however Lollipopping is the most popular.

This is why, Lollipopping is easy, low-stress, and it can help you produce heavy harvests of some exceptional buds.

Lollipopping is a simple technique, but you should still exercise caution. You’ll want to lollipop your plants just before they begin flowering. We also recommend pruning removing unnecessary branches as well, although you should proceed slowly, and with a plan.

  1. Start with sharp, clean shears to prune your plants.  For bigger, thicker branches, invest in a pair of shears. Begin by removing obvious foliage. The first few branches near the bottom of your plant obviously won’t get enough light to develop fully. Get rid of these first.
  2. Once you’ve taken care of the most obvious problem areas, removing any branches that don’t break at least 50% of the height of the plant. As your plants stretch during the early weeks of flowering, these branches will get shaded out and never develop properly. Lollipopping doesn't have to involve removing entire branches, but pruning is often used in tandem as necessary.
  3. Next, start removing branches growing in the middle of the plant, specifically those underneath the canopy. Not only will they likely not get enough light, but this interior foliage also covers up a lot of sites that could develop into sizable buds. Also, at this stage, you should remove any branches or leaves that are dying or yellowing.
  4. Finally, you’ll want to get to actually lollipopping each individual branch on your plant. Some growers recommend leaving no more than three nodes from the tip of each branch. That, however, depends a lot on the strain, the size, and the health of the individual plant. The time at which you’re pruning also comes into play. If your plants are smaller and you’re trimming late, for example, we recommend trimming below the top 4/5 nodes. In any case, remove all the growth leading up to the topmost nodes on each branch.
