We asked Fast Buds a number of questions about their company and the cannabis industry, the feedback is featured below:

1. Do you have any new strains planned for this year?

As you know, we are constantly working on different new strains, we have just released Gelato Auto which was a great accomplishment, our testers are currently trying out 2 new strains that will come out as soon as we think they are up to our standards.

This has been a gift and a curse, we’ve been constantly looking to deliver the best quality seeds, and we have postponed releases in order to be able to offer all our customers the best quality Autoflowering seeds in the market.

2. What do you feel differentiates you from your competitors? 

Well, first of all the dedication that we had in developing a single product instead of trying to spread our catalogue and catch as many customers as possible; we have seen a great opportunity with Autoflowering plants that was overlooked by many people back in the day.

The work has been nothing but easy, but I feel that everybody that knows us is aware of our quality and passion.

3. Do you think we will continue to see Cannabis laws relaxed over the World and if so, how will this affect the seed market? 

On the pure monetary side, I’m sure that it’s going to happen sooner than later but there are still big powers (pharmaceuticals, tobacco and alcohol companies, the church) who aren’t excited about cannabis becoming more and more legal because they aren’t profiting from it.

Also, the “stoner” stigma is still strong in a lot of countries, so I’ll say we have a 60/40 chance, just to be positive about it!

As far as the seed market, my belief is that we will see a raise of flowers and flowers derivatives more than only seeds since the final product is what people want, but there will be still the niche of self-producing growers who are interested into growing and following the cannabis process from start to finish.

4. Can you tell us what you think of the Cannabis Seed industry right now?

Since I’ve started working in it, I’ve been truly amazed, because it’s mainly made by independent individuals, driven by passion and will to make good for others too. Profit is there, because we’ll be crazy not to think about it, but I think that it’s not the main drive behind a lot of brands. We are a community more than an industry; we all share the same enthusiasm and love.

5. What do you feel the future holds for the industry?

I have a strong feeling that the industry will split up into two different categories:

A mainstream/corporate side which will be at the lead of the legalisation processes in order to turn over a profit with mass sales. A strong underground community that will cater to all the free spirits who have started getting interested in this industry because it’s not mainstream and because it still holds the pure attitude of freedom.
